An extremely deadpan takedown of American Exceptionalism. It's one the nearly underrated standup specials I've seen, and while it's a little too long, I fully recommend it.

"My hair used to be black. Now every twelvemonth white hairs show up. Adjacent year more white hairs moving in. It makes me mad, makes me pitiful 'cause it means my head is getting gentrified."
One joke, incredibly well-delivered. Friedlander's rhetoric is only a couple of notches above a parody of Trump, which is a very easy target of course, just there are some unbelievably practiced right-hooks in hither. The reason why most of them hitting so hard is because of his balanced, progressive eye that he lets testify through his deadpan sarcasm which shocks you lot with its deadpan sincerity. Big fan of this choppy, chunky manifesto.
Consistently funny and smart! World Champion, indeed.

He was very quick on his feet.. I'one thousand eager to see more of his specials.. 😂

ومن جانب آخر لايقل عظمة هو ان هذا الفيلم بمجملهِ يسخر من عملية العروض الستاند أب الكوميدية بمحاكاة ساخرة عبر تقديم شخصية ستاند آب كوميديان غاية في الجهل والسطحية، ولكن البلاتفورم تعطي الكوميديين مساحة من الحرية لعرض جهلهم وسطحيتهم وسخافتهم أحياناً...

وللعمل جماليات كثيره منها كون البطل هو المخرج والمؤلف والممثل...

ستاند آب كوميدي ذكي ومميز ومختلف، ويعتمد على أساليب كوميدية متعددة مثل نكتة الجملة الواحدة، والقصص المحكية، والتفاعل مع الجمهور...

والعنوان لوحده نكتة ذكية تعكس لُـب الموضوع...

United nations cómico con un estilo muy personal, con una grandísima presencia y con un repertorio tremendo. Tiene una broma por cada país del globo terraqueo.

Puede que bounding main algo largo la casi hora y media de especial, pero tiene calidad tremenda detrás de ese blanco y negro y su austeridad.

Judah Friedlander es alguien que siempre se debe ver.

More familiar with Judah Frielander as an player than stand-up comedian, I was a little hesitant going in, but was won over fairly quickly and extremely pleasantly surprised. Equal parts airheaded and smart, Friendlander'due south quick wit and well-written, rapid-burn jokes made this a pleasance. Incredible crowd work. Some of the gear up-ups drag, but information technology feels like intentional anti-comedy. While the special is very funny, it is poorly shot. The low-fi aesthetic is probably intended to be part of the charm (and it defintely suits Friedlander's persona), simply I'd nonetheless similar something nicer to expect at equally an audience member. With production values this weak, why even picket information technology? You lot might as well just listen. Simply that mind would defintely exist worth your time.
Didn't express mirth out loud but boooooy I loved the sarcasm and satire of this whole thing (especially as a European).

Also, hat if the questions from the audition were non scripted. I empathize he probably had a listing of U.s.a. problems likely to come upwardly, just still!
Judah in a distractingly ugly hat shoots shit with the audience. Few moments of brilliance do not outweigh the sillyness of the textile.

Shooting the special in black and white with strange photographic camera angles do not add anything to the material. Those decisions only add farther to the confusion.
